There are no entries showing under Warnings or Errors. One says I’m running BPA version 1. It appears that these two results are triggering the server alert somehow, even though they are listed as compliant. Is it possible you’re seeing a connection that isn’t there. I seem to remember an incident where I had excluded or hidden a couple warning level alerts and forgot about them. Every once in awhile they would trigger an alert, but not show up in the BPA list.

I finally removed all filters and looked at all the results and saw them. I fixed the issues and never saw the alerts again. Your situation may be totally different, but I thought I’d mention this, just in case. Andy, quick update on this: I’ve excluded these two BPA results, and that prohibits the phantom alerts from popping up in the Dashboard. However, this is at best a work-around.

I still find it odd that “informational” results are being treated as errors by Essentials, and I there is no guarantee that this will prohibit similar false detection in the future. Still open to any troubleshooting suggestions or ideas I did mention the two BPA scan results in my post, but you might have missed this.

Both are informational alerts. The first simply says I’m running BPA 1. The second says I’ve completed 63 checks using BPA. This is paraphrased, but the actual text shown in the results is almost verbatim to this. I’m not sure if this is the issue you had but I have just had a similar problem and re running the BPA showed that the warning was because I had disabled IE enhanced security. I’ve been receiving what appears to be a phantom or bogus alert on my R2 Essentials server. I’ve tried ignoring and deleting the alert, but it just comes back. Any ideas why this is happening, or how I can fix it?

Thank you. Wednesday, February 5, PM. Hi Gary, Is it possible you’re seeing a connection that isn’t there. Good luck, Sandy. Sunday, February 16, PM. Best, Gary. Monday, February 10, PM. Friday, February 7, AM. Hi Andy, thanks for the response. Let me know if I can provide any more information.
