In the drop-down list in the Choose Profile dialog box, choose the new profile name you created. Note: If Outlook starts normally, then you’ve identified your Outlook profile as being corrupt and the source of your problem. Should you decide to remove a profile, back up the data files first.

Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I have the same problem. Windows 8. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Office, run sfc. From other posts I see that repairing the pst file has helped, but the application scanpst to do that doesn’t seem to be present on the computer, others suggest regedit to point to mlcfg32 also can’t find that or I’ve looked everywhere for a solution to the same problem I’m on windows 10 and have office installed.

I went into my pst files to rename them I thought there were only 2 of them, 1 for each of my gmail accounts and I noticed there was a 3rd pst file. The first were named similar to my email addresses and the 3rd one just said outlook. I repaired the 3rd one that I never realized was there and then I renamed all of them with a simple name.

Hi, When I try to reset my Outlook-profile from Control Panel \ Mail (Microsoft Outlook ) (bit), the Mail-icon is blank and I got an. Outlook Mail doesn’t open in Control Panel. This problem occurs after you install the June update for Office Click-to-Run. Close Outlook. Choose Start > Run. In the Open box, type replace.me /resetnavpane, and then choose OK.

I cannot recommend any particular tool because luckily have never had to use any on my own machine. How can I fix the Mail Microsoft Outlook bit? In reply to jacinta james’s post on September 5,
