Yes with Project the legend is rather busy. You can delete it entirely from your print by using the Legend tab on the page setup window. Opt for legend on no pages. If you do want a legend but only a reduced set, click on the Format icon on the Format ribbon item.

Form there select Bar Styles. That will display the Bar Styles window. You can delete any styles you don’t need. However, I suggest you create a separate print view and modify the bar styles for that view. That way you won’t mess up the full functionality offered by all the new bar styles in Project SyRenity SyRenity 2 2 gold badges 7 7 silver badges 12 12 bronze badges.

The Overflow Blog. Want to be great at UX research? Take a cue from cultural anthropology Ep. Sort tasks or dates to highlight specific info. Under Settings , choose how much of the project to print. You can print the whole thing or pick date and page ranges. You can include headers and footers on each printed page. Some views also include a legend of the types of Gantt bars on each printed page.

You can add, remove, or change the headers, footers, and legends like this:. Select the Header , Footer , or Legend tab.

Type your text in the Left , Center , or Right text box. Want to get rid of the legend completely? On the Legend tab, under Located on , select None.

Need to change what Gantt bars show up in the legend? See Change the legend on a printed view for instructions. Create and customize the report until it shows exactly the information you want to print. You can add charts, tables, and links, as well as change colors and add visual effects.

For example, choose Page Breaks to see how much of the report will show up on a printed page. Then choose Size to pick a different paper size or rearrange the report elements until they all fit on a page. To specify months, under Print , select Months per page , and then choose 1 or 2.

To specify the number of weeks to show, select Weeks per page , and then type or select the number of weeks that you want to display in the adjacent box. If you want the weeks on the printed calendar to have the same height as those in the view, select Week height as on screen. Alternatively, you can change the number of weeks per page by magnifying the view. Note that the calendar will become unreadable if you try to print too many weeks per page. See the tips below for ideas about how to format your calendar to make it more readable.

Note that you cannot print a readable Calendar view of an entire year. Instead, use a Gantt Chart view and follow these tips:. Change the timescale of the Gantt Chart to accommodate your year view.

Microsoft project 2010 print without gantt chart free. Print table only – suppress Gantt chart

We cannot consistently get Project to correctly print our gantt chart. Onscreen our project looks great, but trying all the options we know of still results in incorrect sizing or illegibility of parts of the chart. Where can I go to learn more about printing our work.

It is a combination of how you set it up in the working screen and how you set it up in page setup. In the working screen you have to set the timescale, and don’t overlap columns with the chart if you want them printed. Font sizes and bar styles are set in the view. Each print has to be designed for the audience and for the size sheet of paper it is being printed on. In page setup, the view tab is useful, to turn off “print blank pages” and “print first x columns”.

Set margins to a minimum, say 1 cm. Don’t try to scale 50 sheets onto one sheet. Choose portrait or landscape. Set your pdf writer as default printer, and print preview everything as PDF before sending it to a real printer. In page setup, start with a large format sheet of paper, metric A0, and work down to smaller sheets until it won’t fit.

Get a large format printer, because most printouts look terrible just because they are on A4. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Ensure that Project is updated with SP You have already discovered that what you see is NOT what you get when you print – for example, you may have columns to narrow to view the file correctly – but it prints fine. You will want to set up custom views for printing that are not used for viewing.

Using scaling fit to often over compresses the view too much. Zoom out of the Gantt chart View ribbon, Zoom entire project and then check print preview.
