Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. NO disrespect, but please address the difference about your solution when dealing with a Microsoft email account and a local account. Also, I’ve tried this solution a number of times, so there are either steps missing in the suggestion, or it flat-out doesn’t work. I was just on with a Microsoft support level 1 tech, who did solve my problem, although he had never seen it before, and he was preparing to send me to a level two technician.
So, in essence, I did not get what I wanted, which was to eliminate the password requirement, but as of now, before any other updates come my way, I can get into my computer that I own with a pre-populated password now. I have also done this to PC so it is definitely working. On the text box type netplwiz 3. On the new windows under Users tab, uncheck the Users must enter a user and password to use this computer.
